G.L. Verma a distinguished civil engineer, brings over 50 years of global experience across India, Africa, the Middle East, and Far East. He specializes in design, construction, structural health audits, repairs, and retrofitting of bridges, highways, and transport systems. He is member of various code formulation committees of IRC. Known for innovative designs, strengthening solutions and forensic analysis of infrastructure failures, He is consultant to World Bank, NHAI and State PWDs.
Mukesh Chander Gupta is a distinguished civil engineering expert with over 30 years of global experience as Chief Technical Adviser in leading various resilient infrastructure programs for the ILO, UN, World Bank, and ADB. An IIT Delhi and DCE alumnus, he has spearheaded major post-disaster recovery initiatives across Asia, Africa, and Europe, and supported flagship Indian programmes such as PMGSY and MGNREGA. Currently the Convener of Indian Roads Congress committee “Reduction of Carbon Footprint in Road Construction and Environment Committee (G-3)”, he is an author of several technical papers and recipient of a Life-Time Achievement Award for his contributions.
Bhushan Kumar Makhija, is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and a veteran of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers. With over 40 years of expertise spanning the public and private sectors, he has held pivotal roles within the Railway Board and also served as Managing Director of RITES, prestigious Public Sector Undertaking. His extensive portfolio includes heading major infrastructure projects, such as the Dedicated Freight Corridor and international rail engineering in Ethiopia.
Rajendra Prasad Indoria, is a distinguished civil engineer and former Director General (Road Development) and Special Secretary to the Government of India. His illustrious 35-career includes serving the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Secretary-General, Indian Roads Congress and extensive experience at National Highways Authority of India and the UN in Bhutan. He is recipient of a Life-Time Achievement Award from IRC for his contributions.
Arun Sharma, an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and IIT Delhi, brings 50 years of expertise in transport infrastructure planning, design, and maintenance. His distinguished career includes 33 years in Himachal Pradesh PWD, notably as Chief Engineer with additional roles at NHAI. He also serves as a consultant to World Bank, ILO, AIIB, and NRIDA. A specialist in climate-resilient infrastructure and have written paper landslide and flood mitigation.
Sudha Pillai, secured the second rank in IAS in 1972 .She got a gold medalin the BA and also in MA for securing the first rank .She has a Master's degree in Psychology from Punjab University and also in Public Administration from Harvard University USA. Apart from her various important assignments, she was Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Member Secretary of Planning Commission (India). She was instrumental in drafting the very first Skill Development Policy the first Safety and Health Policy. She has served as a member of high-powered bodies on infrastructure development. She was an ex-officio member of the National Highway Authority of India, Indian Infrastructure Finance Company Limited and other Central Councils.
Dr. P.K.Kundu, Doctorate & M. Tech from IIT Delhi, recipient of Leadership Award from IGS Delhi Chapter for contribution in Geotechnical Engineering. His Doctoral Thesis was on landslides study in Darjeeling Himalayas. With over 40 years of experience in the fields of Geotechnical/Foundation, he has been involved in special studies like Landslides & its mitigation, Earthquake study, Liquefaction study and its mitigation. He has served premier consultancy organizations like Engineers India Limited (EIL, Econ Geotech , Singapore and WAPCOS Ltd. Currently, he is heading a multidisciplinary consultancy firm with NABL accredited geotechnical laboratory.
Hasan Abdullah, an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He worked as a professional rock engineering researcher with Central Soil & Materials Research Station (Ministry of Water Resources) for over three decades, and retired as its Director. During his tenure he did many research and field studies projects in rock engineering and protections of fragile hills. In addition to publishing research papers as a part of his profession, he also wrote articles on science and on other subjects.
Harsh Verma, an Architect with over 23 years of experience in designing Commercial, Retail, Residential, Healthcare and Hospitality projects. An inclination towards designing, taking up complex design issues and creating a solution that is distinctive, context specific and resilient design. He has attained expertise in revamping and retrofitting of commercial spaces to achieve efficient layouts as per required use. He has worked with many leading Architects and Developers and successfully delivered big projects.
Shailly Gupta, an alumna of Harvard University and Cornell University, is an international expert for education & skills development, resilient infrastructure, digital transformation, gender equity and employment. As a public policy expert, her career includes research, knowledge management and capacity development roles with ICRIER, CDRI, ILO, UNESCO, Brookings Institution, UNESCAP. She has contributed to G20 disaster risk reduction and South-South cooperation initiatives and evaluating AI and DPI efforts for social good.
