G L Verma, after graduation from Delhi College of Engineering, gained 50 years of experience in India, Africa, Middle East and Far East in Design, Construction, Health Checkup, Repairs and Retrofitting of Bridges, Highways and Transport Structures. He was associated with the following prime agencies:

SWEROAD, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, SWEDEN- Subsidiary of Swedish Road Administration as a member Bridge expert of General Consultant's team to assist Govt. of Mozambique for Roads and Costal Shipping Project (World Bank funded).
SWEROAD for short term bridge advisor to Govt. of People’s Republic of Laos for preparation of Inspection and maintenance manual of bridges.
In 1998, Engineering and Planning Consultants was incorporated by him for providing consultancy services for Infrastructure projects related to Bridges, Transport Structures, Highways, Health Checkup of structures and Traffic & Transportation. Number of projects were successfully completed in these areas like Improvement of road stretch at Dhaula Kuan, extension of Ashram flyover, junction improvement of Atul Kataria Chowk, Mahabir Chowk Gurugram, Pinjore Bypass, ROBs/RUBs with almost all the regional railways, two packages of 65 Km Length of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Greenfield Expressway, one package of 70 Km length of Greenfield Ganga Expressway. Also worked as Team Leader for Health Checkup of four grade separated structures located at strategic locations in Kolkata. He is member of various professional bodies. Short-time Consultant to World Bank, Nominated Bridge Expert with NHAI and other PWDs to investigate collapses or mishaps of Bridges.
